Yesterday I got the awesome opportunity to attend the Ubisoft Preview Event in NYC. There we got to play and learn about what's in store for The Crew, a new racing game that dares to be different.
"Maneuver through the bustling streets of New York City to lose the cops, cruise down sunny Miami Beach or trek through the breathtaking plateaus of Monument Valley. Each locale comes with its own set of surprises and driving challenges to master. On your journey you will encounter other players on the road – all potentially worthy companions to crew up with, or future rivals to compete against."
For someone who who isn't normally captured by racing games, I found myself easily getting into The Crew. Racing with friends was fun, but I really enjoyed the group takedown missions. I was also completely captivated by the American landscape. Did you know New York City in this game is just as large as Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV: Liberty City? That's amazing and definitely deserves the MMO title, even for a car game.
I know I'll be buying my copy this fall! Get ready for me to stream a cross country road trip on my Twitch channel.
