Earn more stars and perfect landings with these Hop Truck 2 tips.
In order to earn the highest three star rating on each of the levels, you'll need to complete each track in a certain amount of time. A word of warning, though - you won't. Hop Truck 2 is diabolically hard at times, and even if you think you have your run figured out, a number of setbacks could get in the way, like angling your vehicle to land just right after a jump. One wrong move and you could blow up, even from a bad landing.
Your best bet is to shoot for at least a one-star rating at first - which you'll earn by initially completing the track - and then going back and trying for a perfect run. Even then, don't get too frustrated if you only end up with two stars, as very few players have managed to score three-star runs. Even the opening level is a challenge.
How do I get perfect landings in Hop Truck 2?
With Hop Truck 2, managing your landings can be tricky. First, you need to make sure that when you jump, you don't come off a wall that will send your car spinning. You may not be able to regain control, and as a result, you'll crash and burn.
Second, once you're in the air, simply tilt your device so you angle your vehicle to land perfectly back on the road. One bad landing and you could flip down the side, leading to an explosion. Pay attention to the track design to get a better idea how to land.
Finally, don't forget to use your brake! Speeding into each track could be a bad idea, especially if you have to angle for an overhead track, or clear a certain obstacle that stands in your way. Plan ahead and then go for your run.
How do I see the whole track in Hop Truck 2?
Simply pause the game or go to the restart menu and hit the magnifying glass option. This will show you the entire layout for the track, including every obstacle that stands in your way. It helps to plan accordingly, as you'll crash less and maybe - maybe - earn a three-star rating on a course.
Does it hurt to restart your run in Hop Truck 2?
Not at all. In fact, you're going to do it quite often anyway. Restarting an event will take you back to the beginning, though, so make sure you have a solution for early obstacles that get in the way before you continue your run. You could be sorry later.
On top of that, you can restart at any time by simply pausing the game and hitting the restart button. If you think you're gonna crash and have no way out, it's advised you do this anyway - to save yourself from discouragement, at least.
Do I need to pay for anything in Hop Truck 2?
The first 12 tracks are free-of-charge, and you're given one basic vehicle to use. To unlock the additional tracks in the game, as well as four other vehicles and the option to turn off the ads, you'll need to pony up $4.99.
Before making the investment, see how the first 12 levels treat you. If you're up for a challenge and think you can take on the others, go for it. However, if you're having a tremendously difficult time - and some will - skip it.
