Despite what some people say, Nintendo's clearly still got plenty of fight in it yet, if this week's Media Create charts from Japan are anything to go by.
As reported by Gematsu, this week's Japanese chart sees 3DS title Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 from Sega top the charts with 88,708 sales in its first week on sale, closely followed by the evergreen Pokémon X and Y, which sold 86,391 this week and recently passed three million lifetime sales.
After a bit of a gap, third place is occupied by Square Enix's Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which has now sold 337,155 copies since its release on November 21.
Fourth place in the chart goes to Nintendo's Super Mario 3D World, which had a somewhat underwhelming first week but still managed to come in second place behind Lightning Returns. This week it sold 39,812 copies, which is a drop since last week's launch week figure of 99,588 but may have contributed to this week's good news for Nintendo: a significant, noticeable increase in Wii U sales...
