Pac-Man + Tournaments includes the original 1980 Pac-Man experience, but amps things up quite a bit with Tournament mode. Each week, a new Tournament will be available for eager players to try their hand at earning the most points as possible before failing. Not only will winners of these tournaments earn bragging rights within the app, but they'll even be eligible to win real-world prizes like Pac-Man plush dolls and other goodies.
Over time, DLC will be released to Pac-Man + Tournaments that includes new mazes, new achievements and "scoring objectives." Regardless of the game mode, players can control this iconic character using either a virtual joystick or swipe controls.
"PAC-MAN was the first video game available for Android phones back in 2008, and with PAC-MAN +Tournaments™, we're excited to expand our Google Play lineup with a game that revitalizes that beloved gameplay for a whole new group of fans," said James Kucera, Head of Mobile, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., via a company release. "My favorite part is the balance of new and old -- players will be excited about the new Tournament mode, while the leaderboards and friend system harken back to the competitive arcade atmosphere from PAC-MAN's beginnings."
