Created by industry veterans who worked on titles like Age of Conan and Battlestar Galactica Online, Trolls vs Vikings will see players diving into a mythology fueled world of tower defense across both the expected story mode and a multiplayer campaign. Both asynchronous (turn-based) and real-time multiplayer games will be available to make the game more social, while the game's story mode promises to take players on a journey through the year's seasons. As the seasons change, so do the environments, bosses, and enemies that will appear in each stage.
Of course, the game will contain the expected elements in the genre, like resource management, large (moveable) towers, and more, but we're also promised a "dynamic tile system, and set-piece challenges." Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait quite some time before figuring out exactly what that means for players in the long run.
While there's no official release date for Trolls vs Vikings just yet, we're told that we can expect the game to release sometime this winter. That's a long time to wait, so stick with us as we bring you more on this newest game as further info is revealed.
