
SimCity's launch has been plagued by server issues. Despite the struggles of an unstable launch, Maxis is looking at the bright side of things.
"In a single 24 hour period, there were more than 38 million buildings plopped down, nearly 7 and a half million kilometers of roads laid down, 18+ million fires started and (my favorite fact) over 40 million pipes filled up with poop," Senior Producer Kip Katsarelis wrote in a blog post.
I don't know where they are getting those numbers from; I can rarely login in. Prior to those fun little facts, Katsarelis spent much of the post attempting some damage control of the situation -- the typical PR-type talk when something isn't performing as expected.
