That sure was some teaser, wasn't it? In case you missed the hint that Rovio dropped late last week, the Angry Birds maker will soon launch a Star Wars-branded game for iPhone and iPad. The brand new game will launch on iOS, Android, PC and Mac on Nov. 8 for varying prices, depending on the platform you beam it up to.

Given the proverbial blessing courtesy of Lucasfilm (though whether it crossed Mr. Lucas's desk is suspect), this partnership will span a new game, toys, board games, plushies and more. But back to the game. Angry Birds Star Wars will feature the cast of Angry Birds dressed up as the most famous characters from the franchise, like the Red Bird as Luke Skywalker, the Yellow as Han Solo, Terence as Chewbacca and so on.

According to TouchArcade, the game will play much like the Angry Birds games of old, featuring levels inspired by events in the films. You can also expect a metric ton of product placement and brand promotion, if you can stomach it. Stay tuned to your respective app store on Nov. 8.
