It speaks volumes when the umpteenth release of a nearly 3-year-old game still garners excitement. EA-owned developer PopCap Games managed just that today with in teasing that previously-announced Zuma's Revenge for Xbox 360 will hit Xbox Live this week. The venerable casual game maker made the announcement via Twitter to 57,000-some followers.

Of course, the developer took this opportunity to point would-be players to Zuma-themed Xbox Avatar items that are already available on the Avatar Marketplace ahead of the match-three shooter's release. Don't worry: This HD take on the popular twist on bubble shooters promises more than good looks. How do two new play modes--Boss Rush and Weekly Challenge--sound?

That comes with the full game you've come to know and love on PC, Mac, Facebook and iOS, no doubt. Throw in Xbox staples like achievements, leader boards and ... Spirit Badges--just go with it--for what Zuma franchise marketing manager Van Riker promises will be "a must for Xbox players." Oh, and it'll run you just 800 Microsoft Points, or $10. Sweet deal, if you ask us.
