While rumors concerning a revival of the 1984 video game hit Spy vs Spy had been circling for weeks, Robots and Pencils and First Star Software have just now officially announced the development of Spy vs Spy for mobile platforms. The game, which pits black spies vs white spies, will launch on iPhone and iPad later this summer.
While the iOS version of Spy vs Spy has been updated for modern audiences, fans of the original game (or those simply interested in the franchise's roots) will be able to choose between "retro" or HD graphics and soundtracks. Gameplay will see you practicing espionage in both online and local multiplayer matches, as you set traps and use a variety of weapons to create as much mischief as possible.

Shenanigans are the name of the game, even in the title's full campaign mode, which takes you through 24 international embassies, including the eight original embassies from the 1984 original. Unfortunately, we don't have an official release date for Spy vs Spy, but we do have a neat gameplay trailer to tide us over until later this year. Stay tuned for more!
