"Lead an elite squad in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Commander, a fast-paced strategic combat experience that challenges everything you know about Facebook games," the page belonging to Ubisoft's newest Facebook game reads. And that's about all we know about Ghost Recon Commander on Facebook, a social strategy game likely with Kabam and Kixeye in its sights.

The news came straight from Loot Drop (and Wizardry) designer Brenda Brathwaite. Apparently Brathwaite has been working with Ubisoft on its Ghost Recon social game with the rest of the Loot Drop team, confirmed by a photo on its Facebook page. "My new game is announced. Ghost Recon Commander: https://www.facebook.com/ghostreconcommander. More info to follow," Brathwaite wrote via her Twitter account. "Very grateful to work in my favorite franchise!"

Unfortunately, we know very little else about Ghost Recon Commander. But what's clear now is that Loot Drop is poised to make a comeback in a big way. Since a falling out with publisher RockYou, the studio's future was uncertain with little to no updates. There's nothing like announcing a game with a major brand to say, "I'm back."
