
"We really wanted to attack the Kindle Fire market, but also have access to the payment methods that support our business," Ly said. "It's still kind of in its early stages," Ly told Bloomberg. "But we're very optimistic about it." Of course, this would only apply to Android apps and games purchased in the Amazon Appstore.
That means Amazon needs to work double time to make its Appstore more appealing than the new Google Play for not only app and game developers, but their users. If this is the case (i.e. Amazon confirms Ly's comments), then expect some major changes to the Amazon Appstore to make it more appealing than Google Play. That said, Amazon would be remiss not to give social games a pass, now wouldn't it?
