While CityVille may have already moved on to a mythological theme filled with Greek and Roman goodies, that doesn't mean that the the previous Tiki theme has been forgotten and ignored so quickly. In fact, Zynga is offering a slew of free City Cash to users in a new Tiki Backyard Party contest being held on the game's official forums.
In this new contest, users are allowed to use up to six expansions (that is, a space in their town the size of six expansions) to create a "backyard party fit for a king (or queen)!" You can use whatever items you'd like in the design, even if they aren't technically part of the Tiki theme, but the entire area must be predominantly Tiki in nature to stand a chance at winning. The only other rule that's been given is that you must have a fence or some kind of divider wrapped around the outside of your backyard party, as Zynga's logic is "backyards have fences."
If you can complete your design and submit a screenshot on the forums before September 1, you'll be entered to win. After that point, the CityVille community team will pick the top 25 entries and will then narrow them down to the top 10. The actual winners will be chosen by "popular vote," giving us a chance to actually reward our peers (or even ourselves) with free cash! The first place prize is 250 City Cash, while second and third place will walk away with 150 and 100 CIty Cash each, respectively. Even if you don't place in the top three, all ten of the finalists will receive a free Hawaiian Luau item.
As with all other contests, your participation is entirely voluntary, but you can't walk away with the City Cash if you don't try. Good luck if you do decide to enter!
