It's been a long time since I was taught about the
victory gardens of the World Wars in school, but something about them still reverberates. "Bring in the victory harvests! Get your farm in the fight! Farm work is war work!" are slogans from real American war propaganda posters.
Flash forward nearly 70 years later, and we've got
FarmVille on Facebook. Those wars are long over, but the farm is no less a part of everyday life thanks to social gaming, and
Aaron Wood's awesome social network propaganda posters are a testament to that. Here's all three below:
Right now, these are just pieces of concept art, which Wood shared on his Google+ profile, but fingers crossed that he'll translate these into purchasable posters, like others have done with
similar social media propaganda-style designs. My cubicle is in desperate need of fresh art.
UPDATE: It looks like Wood is actually selling these designs as posters
on Etsy, but they are currently all sold out. He seems to be updating his
G+ profile when new ones are in stock.
(Thanks, Leah!)
