If you're hopelessly addicted to games with adorable, wide-eyed characters, then you won't want to miss out on the new Facebook rendition of MapleStory Adventures from Nexon, set to launch on Facebook later today.
The game, which has been in a closed beta for several months, is a stripped down version of a popular Korean MMO (massively multiplayer online game), where you create an avatar and then traverse various landscapes, carrying out quests that often involve whacking cute, but aggressive, monsters in exchange for experience points and -- if you're lucky -- sweet loot. Questers can hire Facebook friends to help them take down enemies, so the more friends you have, the faster you'll progress in the game.
The real question is -- is there enough game here to satisfy tried-and-true MapleStory fans? We'll find out after the game goes public on Facebook starting at 7 p.m. EST.
