Gameloft, one of the leading mobile game developers for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, are now venturing over into our world of Facebook games, and they're starting off strong. Green Farm is their brand new game on Facebook, and just when we thought we were sick and tired of farming games, they impress us with yet another one. Green Farm is by far the nicest looking, most slick, and most polished farming game we've seen yet - and it might even be one of the most polished games of all Facebook game genres. The game loads quickly and everything feels so responsive and fun, it's bound to be a top contender to soar up the ranks over the next couple of weeks.
As far as the game goes, it's mostly old hat. There isn't anything too out-of-the-ordinary about the play experience, except that everything feels more alive and more fun than FarmVille. The game takes a more green concept, with things such as organic seeds and solar panels that give you extra coins and items. When visiting a friend, Green Farm actually has chat that allows you to talk in real time and interact with friends - which is something that only a few games on Facebook are doing successfully. A robust lottery system makes Green Farm fun to log into every day to see what prizes you can earn.
All in all, Green Farm is a solid contender in a very saturated market. If any farming game has the chance to succeed other than FarmVille, this is the one. Are Facebook players tired of the same ol' farming game, or are people still clinging dearly to their farms in FarmVille?
