- Zynga's long-rumored deal with Japan's Softbank finally went through to the tune of $150 million. The deal opens one of Japan's largest mobile networks to Zynga games.
- Brick-and-mortar game retailer Gamespot made big waves in online gaming this week, first with a promotional giveaway for subsidiary Jolt Online then with a surprising purchase of social gaming network Kongregate.
