So what is the Mystery Vault, after all? It is a new Mafia Wars feature that occurs RANDOMLY and looks like the image above. If you wish to open the vault, you will have to click the "Email me the code!" button and go check your e-mail!
There, you will find a mail from Mafia Wars in which you'll have to click a link to claim your reward. Once you click the link in your e-mail, you will be taken back to Mafia Wars on Facebook and be presented with a new message and you'll have to click Open the Vault.
Finally, you will open for real the Mystery Vault and get a few cool items, including Reward Points, experience and random loot items. According to Zynga, there's also a grand prize of 1,000 Reward Points to be won, so it's definitely worth checking out every Mystery Vault event you encounter in Mafia Wars.
Unfortunately, as it always happens, there are some Mystery Vault-related problems as well. I, for example, still haven't received the code via e-mail, but I hope I will receive it eventually and claim the amazing prizes. Did you encounter any problems receiving the Mystery Vault code?
