It was only a matter of time until someone created a parody game based on the adventures of Balloon Boy -- and now there's not just one, but two games devoted to last week's biggest news event.

One is called Balloon Boy Game, created by 25-year-olds Immad Akhund, Jude Gomila and James Smith, and the other is Balloon Boy Adventure, located on Newgrounds.com (thanks, Tom, for the tip). The goal in both of the games is to pilot the balloon as far as possible, collecting items without getting hit by birds -- which can simply be avoided or shot down with projectiles.





It's hard not to love current events-based Flash games, even though they're never that sophisticated since they're built in a hurry. These Balloon Boy games are no exception, but they'll at least elicit a chuckle or two. Happy ballooning, everyone.
